OPERATION:

RUCK iT

It’s Back in 2023!

Operation: Ruck It

Operation: Ruck iT is a 22-kilometer (13.6 miles) ruck march raising awareness of the 22 daily veteran suicides. Participants pay $22, wear a ruck (pack) weighing 22 lbs, and then walk 22 kilometers with their own teams or with MA22 at a determined site. Prizes for the top 3 individual fundraisers, as well as the top fundraising team name having their team name etched into the Big Ruckin’ Trophy (BRT) for eternity. Past years have included the areas of the Jersey shore and, most recently, the Manasquan reservoir. An after party, when applicable, follows with food, bands, raffle prizes, and twice, the shaving of our President’s beard after a promise to do so after raising $50,000. Although his beard is safe, for now, we have also seen him ruck in a wedding dress! Where there's fun and chaos, there are veterans with smiles.

OUR PAst Impact

Operation: Ruck iT has been a very important event for MA22. As you can see, Ruck iT is critical to funding the work that we do here at MA22.
